We own a Honda Civic and a Toyota. My spouse and I drove both cars to Showcase Honda to drop off the Honda for service. I pulled into the parking lot in the Toyota to wait for the check-in process to be completed, and there were five or six salesmen standing in the parking lot talking. I parked the Toyota and put the rear window down for my dog. A salesman walks up and asks if he can help me. I politely thanked him and said I did not need anything. Then he asks me if I am meeting someone. It is none of his business what I am there for, so I again said thank you and I don't need any help. He proceeds to tell me that "These parking spots are for customers." I don't think I should be subject to interrogation because I park in their lot to wait for the service department, which we are paying for by dropping off the Honda. My first "I don't need help, thank you" should have been sufficient to get him to walk away. I realize seeing a Toyota at a Honda dealership looks like blood in the water to a shark, but implying that I am taking up precious parking "for customers" (when the lot was empty) is rude. We are going to take our Honda somewhere else for service in the future. If I ever do want a Honda again, I won't buy it here.
