I completely agree with other reviews that overall this facility is beautiful . . . except for the lack of natural light in the yoga studios. I don't understand why so many Las Vegas yoga studios have few to no windows. The Summerlin Lifetime Fitness yoga space is the most beautiful and inspiring I've seen in town - but they offer very few classes. Apparently us yogis are banished to windowless crypts for as long as we live here. I am told that TruFusion Blue Diamond has floor-to-ceiling windows in their yoga room, but that isn't nearly as convenient to me as the Summerlin location. But I doubt anything can or will be done about the lack of windows in the Summerlin location now that the space is built. Also, there are columns in the middle of the yoga studios that make the class set-up a little fractured and awkward. It just isn't an ideal use of space. I want to look forward to practicing there again, but I just can't get excited about it. The feel of the space matters to me.
This would help offset the space constraints:
- More non-heated yoga classes
- Non-heated Pilates classes
- Non-heated classes of any variety beginning in the mid-afternoon timeframe (2:00-4:00)
- Continue to bring in respected local yoga instructors (like Rachael Sellars and Jennifer Knox)
We're glad you're here, we just need you to appeal a bit more to those of us that can't do hot classes. With more non-heated variety on the schedule, I would definitely raise my review and join as a member.
