  • With gambling sometimes you get lucky and sometimes you lose. I go into it knowing this and that is why I focus on the entertainment aspect of it, but this casino has very tight machines that are set to the fastest speeds possible. So even though I can normally entertain myself by playing penny keno for a couple of hours on $20-$40 (that's with playing on my own money and any winnings I get along the way), I went through $40 in less than 10 minutes here. I spent more of my time selecting the numbers for my cards (20 cards on multi card keno) than I did actually playing because the touch screens were off and wouldn't select the cards properly. It took me nearly a half an hour just to set up my cards only to lose my $40 in less than 10 minutes with probably less than $3 in winnings, which I played back, of course. I came to this casino just to change things up a bit as I frequently like to go hang out and play penny keno and when I say the machine gobbled up my money, it's the truth. I left the Suncoast and went to another local casino that I visit often and I played for 2.5 hours off of $20 that I put in. Not only did I get the entertainment aspect of it, I even won my $60 back that I started the night with and $101 on top of that. Although I don't always walk away a winner, I at least walk away feeling like I had a nice time just being out and playing my penny keno. Suncoast made me feel like I was robbed. I got no entertainment whatsoever out of playing there. Here's a tip for you Suncoast : GIVE PEOPLE THE OPTION TO ACTUALLY SIT AND ENJOY GAMBLING!!!!! Not everyone is there just to feed their entire paycheck to the machine in hopes of winning. Having the settings auto set to "blazing freaking fast" takes the fun out of gambling for those of us who really do it for the fun of it. It's sad to think that I saw a ton of elderly people there that day and they are literally having their money taken from them when all they want to do is get out of the house for a little while. I know you probably want people to just sit down, lose their money and go, so that the next person can sit down and have their money taken too, but people like me who simply play for entertainment purposes deserve to be able to at least ENJOY losing their money. And loosen up your tight a** machines. I barely got paid out anything, maybe $3 and that's me being overly generous in my assumption. If the machines pay out a little more here and there then people will stay longer, play more, drink more, and maybe eat after or catch a movie. After I spent 10 minutes feeding your greedy machine, I LEFT! I went straight to a place where I knew I could enjoy myself for a little bit. Only fools continue to put money into machines that pay out absolutely NOTHING. This was my first time in this casino and I am sure it will be my last. Although you probably care nothing about the $40 a week that I set aside for gambling, I care about it and I refuse to just give you my money again.
