Not a fan.
I called a few months back about my check engine light being on and how I got the codes read and it was the o2 sensor failing.
my car is a 2012 ford focus with only 40k miles on it. Not only did they tell me I had to pay for a diagnostic because I wasn't under warranty anymore but they also told me there was a recall on a part in my car and I would need to wait for the part.
Well, I decided to not go with them on the diagnostics and o2 sensor because it didn't feel right and I figured worst case senario I would have my brother or boyfriend fix it when I came back from vacation. Well I came back from vacation last week and out of nowhere while I was driving the cars transmission decides to give out. Just completly won't shift gears.....really? Plus the recalled part is for the transmission so I am really angry at this point. Call ford and of course NO ONE has this part and they tell me there is nothing they can do for me... great.
I decided to tow the stupid car to friendly ford and see if i couldnt trade the dang thing in. When I couldnt trade it in (long story) the sales guy got me in contact with their service team after I told him my terrible experience with country ford. The guy was SUPER nice and best of all, honest.
called me the next day and said everything from the o2 sensor to the transmission valve is under warranty.
needless to say i will be driving further to friendly ford for all my future car needs.
