  • I asked about authenticating a piece of jewellery and the woman who I spoke to said that I'd have to send it to New York, the minimum charge is $1,500.00 USD, and the piece has to be within 100 years old. No wonder counterfitters love these luxury brands. They really should consider a course where jewellers can become accredited in authenticating -- that just might help with getting junk off the street. These luxury brands perpetuate the fake trade and they are too blind to see that.
