I was disappointed. I'm a local and have been wanting to experience the Bacchanal since I first heard about it. I imagined a luxurious dining experience with the most amazing food choices and quality. What I found was a fairly standard buffet with some very questionable food items. The oysters tasted like they were from the muddiest bay and I was concerned for a bit they might have been bad. The sushi was far worse than I had had from local super markets. The sea bass had a rubbery texture and the sole barely tasted like fish. That all being said, offering stone crabs should have made up for the questionable quality but a handful of them tasted of ammonia. The balance of the food items (shrimp, calamari and sausages) were good but for $50+ per person, I expected more. I'm glad I went but I'm certain I would not choose another visit given the many other choices in town.
