Our first experience at the ballpark was on the 4th of July 2017 and it was great! Coming from South Florida I wouldn't normally leave the house on the 4th of July, but this was a wonderful and peaceful experience.
To start the traffic was amazing and I was very surprised how easy it was to navigate to and from the stadium. The biggest surprise was how affordable covered parking was. I'm used to price gouging during sporting events, so it was nice to have 5$ parking available within close proximity to the ball park.
The perimeter of Bearden Park was occupied by food trucks, vendors and entertainment and security was very much present and noticeable. I never felt unsafe or concerned and it was not overly congested with people.
The ball park itself is very nice and there doesn't seem to be a bad seat in the house. I've never really been to a minor league ball game, but we enjoyed it very much, especially the fireworks at the end.
Do expect pay ballpark prices for food items and drinks, but the ball park is within walking distance of plenty of restaurants and bars to fill up before the game. I would definitely return and possible try picking some seats in the shade this time.
