The facility is bright and clean.
I'm still there because I do like my doctor.
But let's start:
- They've lost my test results before.
- They've lost my referral requests before.
- When I am actually sick (like surgery complications!) I can't get an appointment with the doctor - the doctors are over-booked MINIMUM 4-6 weeks out - my doctor has opted to book me for the next visit in case I need the visit, and told me I should cancel if I don't need it.
- The receptionists have double-booked me THREE TIMES this year (It's only February!) - this afternoon, the nurse came out and asked, "why are you here? Do you need to see [a specialist that does not work in this facility]?" Only to find out the receptionist booked me for a visit due to "communication error".
- Wait times are atrocious - every booked appointment is a minimum 1 hour wait - last year, after a 2 hour wait, they gave me taxi tokens and told me to take a cab to East General to see a specialist because I looked like I was about to die on the waiting room chair. My doctor found out I was calling a cab, ran out the door to catch me so she can finally give me my appointment.
I don't understand how after 1.5 years of operation, their front line communication can be so incompetent. Note: I didn't say the receptionists are not nice. But they are disorganized. I implore management, if they see this review - please update operations methodologies. PLEASE.
Now to explain to my boss why I took 4 days off work in the past 2 weeks.
