I'm not a car guy. However, as a professional Realtor, I wanted an image upgrade. My son and wife honed in on Range Rover.
I purchased a 2 year old Evoque in December 2013. Mason was an excellent sales guy ... and a pleasure to work with.
It is a cool looking car.
The only really important thing to me was installing a bike rack. I negotiated the bike rack, and requested that they install it. Manager Patrick really did not want to install it ... and told me it was easy. I explained ... 'easy for some people' ... and I prefer Range Rover do it in their spacious heated garage.
Well ... when I came to pick up the car 2 days later - they forgot the bike rack. I left for Victoria a few days later on a ski/bike trip ... and they had no bike rack in stock to provide to me. Upon returning to Calgary, my 17 year old son went to the dealership twice to ask for the bike rack. They told him we did not buy one. I finally dug out my receipt.
Since my 17 year old son just got his license ... and loves cars and driving ... I frequently ask him to make the calls and go there to get info and do work.
While I experienced TERRIBLE service via my son ... it seems like the service is really bad. (Sharing this review with him ... he says ... "Yeah, it feels like nobody really knows what is going on.)
Today my son called ... and was put on hold until he got bored.
My wife then called shortly after ... and before the receptionist could put her off ... she was able to find someone. We were told (for the 2nd time) that racks are just noisy.
Since driving my parents cars since I got my license in 1982 ... I have never had such a noisy roof rack. Infact, I have NEVER had a noisy roof rack.
We now have a VERY NOISY WHISTLING bike rack at any speed above 50km.
When we called to ask if they could fix it ... they guy told us that "sometimes racks do that". He then told us that to fix his own whistling rack ... he just took it off!
... erggghhhh.
RANGE ROVER CALGARY ... I still do not believe you that this problem cannot be fixed. I will happy to update this review, if you will take 10 minutes to do a google search and figure out how to fix this. Let me know when you are willing to figure out this problem.
If you love Range Rover ... please take a moment to let this pathetic service department know how to make this fix. Thanks in advance.
