  • This dealership reinforces all of the negative stereotypes that make people dislike dealerships in general. I have both bought a car from this dealership and recently had service done there and on both accounts would highly recommend against them. So for the initial buying of the car (will admit this was a few years ago). I pretty much knew which car I wanted to buy as my current car was on its last leg and I was a bit desperate for a car (I know of course not the best way to go to a dealership but sometimes things don't go the way you want them to). The salesman was a bit of a hot mess. We went for a test drive and he didn't really go over any of the features of the car. He instead told me his entire tragic life story up this point, it was the makings of a bad country song. Maybe this was his sales tactic not sure but it was off putting to say the least. So after the test drive we go back to the dealership to go over the price of the car. In typical sleazy dealership fashion they come back with some outlandish quote way over the price of the car. We go back and forth for way too long ("gee I don't know if I can do better than that let me talk to my manager") until they come back with a reasonable quote. As a previous reviewer mentioned they make you pay for lojack and act as if this is required by law or something. This is completely false but by that point the price was in the range of what I was willing to pay and admittedly I was just wanting to get the heck out of there. Now we move on to the default extremely pushy finance guy. For some reason they keep trying to sell me a warranty on the car that costs about half of the total price of the car. "You can't possibly work on a car this advanced" he says or something to that effect. We go on like this for about an hour, no I don't want the way overpriced warranty thanks. Makes me sign a sentence on the back of my contract saying I take responsibility for the car breaking since I refused to buy the awesome warranty. Just the worst. So fast forward to a few weeks ago. Check engine lights comes on. Go to autozone to get code checked possibly cleared. The nice gent tells me unfortunately this is an ECM fault code and can't be cleared from the code reader. Dealership needs to hook up to their computers. So I call to make an appointment for service. I am clear with the person on the phone that I need to get this taken care of quickly first thing in the morning as I will need to go into work late to do this. They tell me no problem if you make an appointment you will be first in line to be serviced. Ok great, get first appointment of the day as they are opening. When you pull up for service you have to wait in your car for someone to help you. Had to wait quite a long time, employees kept looking my way and then scurrying off. Ok whatever maybe they are busy. Finally get some help and they proceed to tell me there are 12 cars ahead of me and they can't look at my car until the end of the day. That appointment really paid off! I have no choice but to accept this and have to rent a car as they do not provide loaners or at least would not give me one. They offer shuttle service but like most people I have things to do and per my phone conversation didn't think I would be out of a car all day. Also over the phone I was told about the diagnostic fee but was told if any work was done it would be counted towards this. I get the call that the tech found the battery was bad, the service adviser keeps saying "aftermarket battery" to blame me for the failure and as if the battery I got from autozone is like some illegal aftermarket part I bought that just ruined the car. Very annoying, and the charge for their battery is almost 50% more then I paid for the battery at autozone. At this point I feel stuck since I will have to pay the high diagnostic fee and pretty sure they won't clear the code unless I buy the overpriced battery. So agree to the "repair". I get the bill and its quite a bit. None of the diagnostic fee is waved at all, as a matter of fact the fee is increated! The only explanation "well he had to diagnose it". Seems like this is what the diagnostic fee would be for in the first place right? Also charged me a lot to "clean" the battery terminal and cables. So I pretty much paid several hundred dollars for a replacement car battery and had to rent a car from them for the day. Just a side note not all dealerships are like this and I had the opposite experience at the dealership where I just bought another car. Can't recommend against this dealership enough. The whole things has just turned me off to Ford in general.
