  • I have been coming to Marigold for years and this was going to be a five-star review, but they made a recent, disturbing change--they switched from Anchora coffee to Alterra. Before you get up in arms, yelling, "I love Alterra," let me explain that Alterra is not a bad coffee, it's just that I loved the Anchora Marigold Special Blend. We would buy this blend and give it away to friends and family as presents. I can understand making the change, and I will still LOVE Marigold, but now that I don't get my Marigold rocket fuel anymore, I will be a little less excited about going there. As usual the food was excellent. I had the chorizo omlette with greens potatoes and toast. This Saturday morning it was the usual buzzing/active/perfect-for-people-watching/too-loud-for-some atmosphere that I have grown to love. I will miss you Anchora Marigold Special Blend. May you rest in peace.
