Finally got a chance to visit this iconic breakfast place (that also serves lunch), in the awesome Plaza Midwood area.
Short version: I went for breakfast/brunch and I enjoyed everything I had. The service was great. Parking in the lot is very limited but parallel parking on the street is also available (I was there on a weekday around 11:30am). Definitely try it especially if you have been to eateries in Asheville and like that vibe.
Long version: Had a brunch with some peeps we ordered a Breakfast Salad, Booker T's Sweet Potato Hash and Belvedere Omelet (I'm actually missing one dish because I can't remember what it was) and a side of Gluten Free pancake.
Everything was delicious. Everyone loved their food. The Gluten Free pancake was the best GF pancake I had ever had that wasn't made at home. I also ordered an orange juice because it's one of the few places that actually has fresh squeezed.
One of the members in my party was celebrating a birthday and they were kind enough to bring out a slice of Red Velvet cake for her.
Overall, it was a great experience and would like to return. I don't know how they fair on weekends but they don't have a huge amount of seating indoors but do have a patio area with fire pits and that section is pet friendly. There is free parking on the side streets and their lot offers rooms for about 8-10 cars so get there early!
