  • As computer stores are becoming more and more difficult to find, a relic of time's past, it's nice to see an independant shop still thriving. The people at Unistar are knowledgeable and trustworthy, two qualities I find most computer stores lack. I'm a computer programmer, so I tend to be pretty critical of the service I receive in a shop, and I can say that these guys demonstrated a good depth of knowledge, and more importantly an interest in making sure I didn't waste my money unnecessarily, even suggesting an alternative that saved me half as much as I was prepared to spend. Though not really stocked with strictly the latest tech, they've got a reasonable selection of components that would satisfy most. If heading down to computer ghetto at Spadina and College is too out of the way, I would highly recommend Unistar for a little East end upgrade. A little bit pricier than some, but still fair. Not too much to pay for the convenience of avoiding a shipping hassle or travelling to the other side of town.
