A plaza midwood staple (changed ownership a few years back to those who used to work for the Penguin, I believe). Burgers are always on point, you have to order the sides separate though. Not bad actually because the basket sides are big enough to share. My family and friends have been coming here for years. Always love the fried pickles, I enjoy their hummus plate too.
We typically enjoy the meals but the service is usually a miss. Either takes too long to greet the table and then bring drinks or the servers don't come back for awhile to even take our order.
Just recently I went in with my husband, starving a bit, and after bringing drinks our server never came back. I looked around and saw her SITTING in the back talking to another worker...that sucked 'cause I was damn hungry. Hostess acted annoyed when I said I was looking for our server 'cause we were ready to order. Like no big deal...but she's sitting over there and I'm being nice about it.
Hopefully they'll make some changes since most of the reviews online are not 5 stars (says a lot).
Still have love for The Diamond!
