I joined this studio about 2 months ago and have developed a real love and interest in it. I have always been into hard core exercise (think Insanity workouts) but needed a change in pace because of my job. I am a provider in emergency medicine which means my body needs time to come down after the stress and long hours at my jobs. So I decided to try yoga and was amazed at how well my body responded to it. I am naturally a skeptic of many 'alternative' things because of my medical background but many of my patients swear by the results.
I also have a heart condition and saw my cardiologist the other day who specifically asked me if I was practicing yoga. I hadn't mentioned it but told him I had recently started it and asked why he was inquiring about this specific exercise. He said that my ECG had significantly improved and HE said he thinks it was due to the yoga. He told me if I wasn't doing this I would probably not be feeling as well.
I have tried many different classes at Yoga Village and have never been disappointed with any of the teachers, they're excellent! I am the type of person who gets bored with redundant exercise but I can honestly say I've never been to a class that isn't completely unique. I 100% recommend this place for anyone looking to try something new and life changing!
