  • The Tuscany provides large (650 square foot) rooms, at low prices. 1.2 miles from Caesar's - walkable. Although by no means luxurious by top resort Strip standards, the rooms are clean and comfortable, and remodeling over the years has upscaled them considerably. Each room includes either a king sized bed or two queens, four chair dining table, sofa (sofa bed in most rooms) and easy chair, and a bar area with a sink and refrigerator (not really a kitchen although you may special request a microwave). (Yes, rooms also have a coffee maker, but nowadays - what hotel room does not.) Flat screen TV in each room. There are also two bedroom, 1325 square feet rooms, with separate bedrooms each with its own bathroom. The best deal at the place though, is for the standard 650 square feet rooms. I've stayed here for as low as $29. TOTAL per night (that was before the resort fee - now $24. per day - was added to each night's stay.) You can still find average night rates of as low as $30. (not including resort fee). If you gamble at the casino at all - or even just get a player card and never gamble - the casino will mail you promotions for even lower rates. (The promotions will stop after they figure out that you are not a gambler, though.) One thing - the pillows in the beds/ bedrooms are not the greatest, but you may request a down pillow which will be somewhat better. When we used to stay here for long periods, we would bring our own down pillows from home. There is a decent exercise room, with a few free weights and some machines. It's not a 24 Hour Fitness, but it can get the job done if you're unwilling to drive to a real gym. Also a spa. The pool area is nice, and there are rooms available poolside (higher rate), along with Cabanas for day use rental. Before the Tuscany remodeled all of their rooms, the best ones were the poolside ones, but nowadays, the poolside suites are almost identical except for having an "executive desk chair" and "sleek lighting with built in power outlets" that the regular rooms lack. Not a big deal - if you don't care about being by the pool (which also can be noisy anyway), just a take room anywhere else. The Wi-Fi used to be free only in the hotel lobby area, but with the advent of the daily resort free, is free everywhere, but not particularly fast. The Tuscany has a 60,000 square foot casino that is popular with locals. There is a fine Italian restaurant (Tuscany Gardens). Basically, EVERY hotel in Las Vegas, has at least one nice restaurant, and for the Tuscany this is Tuscany Gardens. Their 24 hour restaurant, Marilyn's, includes huge portions at good prices - try the baked lasagna or prime rib. There is always some decent entertainment going on in their Copa and Piazza Lounges. The Tuscany is laid out like a huge condominium complex, with fourteen three story buildings, for a total of 714 rooms. It's probably best to stay on the top floor in case to avoid any possible noisy walkers above you. The Tuscany also has meeting and banquet facilities. (37,000 square feet of meeting space.) We did once have a problem with an unsanitary leaking bathroom fixture, and the manager refused to discount the stay, so we had to complain to the BBB and after that the hotel credited our payment for that entire stay, as I recall, with vouchers for a future stay. This was before the entire resort was remodeled. It does seem like the staff, or at least some of the staff, isn't trained so well on the principle that "the customer is always right," but the place runs smoothly enough that you will not often encounter an issue that requires staff intervention anyway. Other than the one problem, have never had any issues at this hotel, and would recommend it as a very good value, large rooms and not far from the Caesar's / Bally corner of the Strip.
