It didn't live up to the hype despite being a big fan of Japanese groceries and food. I was excited for their fresh food, but saw that the pudding quality wasn't so great - the pudding looked odd near the edge of the glass and the matcha color didn't look appealing. Mochi looked shrivelled up compared to the photos. Cheese tarts were next to the door which was propped open.
I purchased the bonito nigiri and was greatly disappointed. While the nori was crisp, the bonito ended up being seasoned bonito flakes as opposed to something like canned tuna... To make things worse, the ratio of bonito flakes to rice was poor. Also, the rice was quite hard but I was told it was made the day of.
In terms of groceries, they have an assortment of candy, chocolate, ramen, and face masks. Not a huge selection but at a disadvantage as Ding Dong is next door. Two stars (instead of 1) because I found a Tsujiri matcha latte pack (with a crazy markup from Japanese prices)!
