  • Even though Amazone has been around for awhile, I have never been there until today. I went to check out it with my family today to see if it was a worthy place of having a birthday party for my 3 yr old next month and despite the not so great reviews I was trying to be open minded. My first impression was not great - The parking lot was littered with cigarette butts, there were unsavory characters hanging outside the place and the windows from the outside looked so fogged up that I knew entering this place would turn out to be a waste of time, but we went in anyways. Upon entering the place was SO packed on a Sunday afternoon with people crowding the door and a customer yelling at a teenage worker because of a mishap with kids not being accounted for. Our plans were to take our daughter to the toddler play area, but we went back and it was so crowded and congested with parents and kids that we passed. Also, we never paid for our daughter to get in, neither did any of the teenage staff seem to care about waiting on you to do so, or to even give you a wristband or anything. There were several birthday parties going on in the main area and it looked very cheap, congested and ghetto. We decided within 5 seconds of entering this place that we would not be having a bday party there and this would probably be the last time we went there. It felt like 120 degrees and we were all sweating and felt miserable (keep in mind it's February and freezing out) We opted to play some games with our daughter so the trip didn't seem like a complete waste of time. The games seemed for older kids, the ones for younger kids were lame and you felt like germs were penetrating your skin when you touched anything. After blowing about $15 on game tokens, we traded in 230 for a chincy stuffed monkey prize and plastic duck. We did plan on eating there and trying their pizza, but due to the grime of the place, how crowded it was and that it felt like a sauna in there - we passed and left and took a breath of fresh air upon leaving. It feels like you are inside of a fish tank in there! I have to say good in concept since Medina does not have much and it's a place to take the kids when they have cabin fever and need out of the house, but it seems like a ghetto Chuck E. Cheese to me and watch your kids CAREFULLY in there because the teenage workers do not care about their job and it's chaotic in there! The place could use some sprucing up and a good clean!
