| - So far, I'm not impressed. We came here on on offer from Holiday Inn for a 3 night stay for $199 with $200 cash back and a free night at a Holday Inn as long as you attend a presentation about purchasing a time share at the resort. Great deal I thought. But the catch is that you don't get to stay at the resort. You stay at a Holiday Inn Express and they bus you to the resort for a presentation. But you can pay extra to stay at the resort for $50 a night. Not a bad a deal still, although I don't get their sellling technique since you really need to experience the resort to know if you like it, but I bought it, added the resort for $50 a night and added on two nights. Still a good deal.
Upon arrival however, I'm not conviced that this resort is worth purchasing a timeshare from.
First off, service was slow at the front desk. This experience is corroborated by other reviews I read. Second, it is soooooooooooo noisy here. Planes flying overhead, construction noise, and staff starting their job early all added up to an unrelaxing atmosphere in the hotel. I don't think this is so much about the noise, but about the building being poorly built. We are on the 3rd floor at the very end, which I thought would be a quiet place to be, but the walls are paper thin and so every noise comes thru. The quiet is important to my hubby and I so this is a big deal for us. Thirdly, there are baby ants crawling on my side table to my bed as we speak. There are also screws lying on the window sill and the sill isn't so clean. The apartment itself is fairly clean and I like the fact that there is a full kitchen but there is a lack of attention to detail.
I thought it might be more of a retirment setting but its actuallly quite a family friendly place. Thats great if you have kids, but we dont. Its close to the strip and its a nice walk acually there. Close to the High Roller. Views are inconsistent depending where you are. Oversized tub is nice but I don't like that it is combined with the shower. Kinda weird. All in all, its not terrible and I'm glad we tried it but we haven't even attended the presentation and we know we won't be back.
