  • I love to support local businesses and that is why I chose to buy here. I will never buy from this place again. Beware the promises of great warranty service. I purchased a top of the line washer, dryer and television from Spencers, a significant purchase for me. I also purchased an extended warranty, something I rarely do. Shortly after purchase the front loading washer started gushing water. Luckily I caught the problem after a few gallons of water leaked out. I took the wet clothes out and dried them outside and cleaned up all the water which was on the second floor of my home and could have been a complete disaster. I contacted Spencers and they put me in touch with their warranty and service affiliates. Know they are not Spencers employees. Someone came out to fix it, but it was not the right part. Following a suggestion from the service company I ran a cycle with no clothes in ( he had offered a temporary fix). Horrible suggestion. Well, it leaked again and it left at least two gallons of water in the machine. And the door auto locked! That was over a month ago! The washer is likely ruined. The problem? The service company can't find the part! In all likelihood the washer is ruined. I have called the warranty and service company no less than 20 times. No help. When I talk to Spencers they just send me right back to their service 'affiliates.' So much for spending a few thousand dollars from a local business and purchasing an extended warranty. Never again. In the meantime the family goes to either a laundromat or a friends house to do laundry. This has now lasted over a month!!! This is the worst service I've ever had, yet the promise of great local service was one of the primary reasons I purchased all these items from Spencers. Buyer beware. Zero stars
