I've been wanting to try this place since seeing their very instagrammable bubble tea all over social media, and now finally, they've opened a store in downtown just north of Eaton Centre.
I got the royal number 9 milk tea which is their most popular drink. At the cashier, they have sample cups of the bubble tea so you can try it for sweetness - I got it less sweet as I usually do with all bubble teas.
Compared to Coco's, it's less milky so the tea flavour really stands out. Personally, I like the stronger tea flavour so I'm inclined to say this place is better than Coco's but I think I have to try a few more before deciding - but so far so good.
I tried their 2nd and 3rd most popular ones now (trio milk tea and garden milk tea) - both were classic milk teas but not as good as royal number 9!
The shop is decorated nicely, with brick walls and hipster bulb lighting. There are some tables for anyone looking to sit at a cafe for a few hours to study or work.
At almost 7 dollars for my large bubble tea with tapioca, it's more expensive than most but well worth it!
