We enjoyed the overall experience here.
We ate at TAO last July ('07) and found it all a new sort of dining experience.
We had a reservation but still had to wait an hour for a table, the waiting area was overcrowded but still comfortable. The bar staff were very good in fetching drinks while you waited.
The rather 'slutty' waitresses were a little off putting. Even my husband (who enjoys a good eyeful) said that the whoreishness of the waiting area servers was obnoxious and way over the top.
We got a table right next to the big statue and the candle wall and that was really nice. Our server (luckily not one of the whoreish ones) was really nice and spent a little time talking to us and just being hospitable.
We LOVED the food. A wide range and many different things to try. I think there is something for everyone, if they like the 'out of the ordinary' Asian food.
This (of course) being Vegas and in the Venetian is going to have that little extra price tag, but it was exorbitant and we though it was worth paying a little more for the experience of TAO.
-1/2 a star for the stupid waiting time, -1/2 a star for the hooker waitresses.
