| - Two thumbs down for this place. Shady business and deal-making. Headache after headache after headache.
Went in to look at cars one Saturday evening and found one I loved. The salesmen said they were "busy", so we were understanding and waited around for about an hour until they could talk to us and give us some numbers. We worked with Sean and Marcos most of the time. (And I must say both were very nice and tried to help us out, so nothing against them).
BUT long story short... during that hour of waiting, I found that the price on the actual car was $2,000 higher than what was advertised on their internet page. We had to point this out to them, as they sure didn't mention it during talk about the car. Soon after telling them I wanted the car, my credit was run, the pen in my hand ready to sign a deal, and Sean said "so for $xx,xxx, you'll sign it right now?" I said yes and waited. He came back with a price $124 higher than what he had just told me... so I said no... that wasn't what was negotiated. He went back and the GM came out. The GM said, "oh you must've been confused. I can't come down anymore." I said, "so your salesmen promise one thing and then you come back with a higher price?" Again, he stuck to his price that was ONLY $124 MORE than what we negotiated and said "yep, can't come down anymore". So, I walked out... after wasting 2+ hours at their dealership.
No more than 5 minutes later the salesman, Sean, called me on my cell telling me he would take the money out of his commission if I'd come back and do the deal. At this point it was about 10pm so I told him not tonight and we would think about it. After going back and forth with him over the next few days, we decided not to do a deal with them. That same day, I checked their website again and the car had been reduced another $1,000! I was shocked, as Sean and Marcos had just been trying to sell it to me at the old price. SHADY!!!
After all of this, I was so ticked off that I ended up going with another dealer in California, 4 hours away. Acura of Escondido in San Diego, CA was simply AMAZING and hassle-free! I picked up my new TLX today for over $1,000 less than the deal at Cardinaleway. I would rather drive 4 hours to do an honest deal than spend another wasted day at Cardinaleway.
If you're not happy with this place, go to Acura of Escondido and ask for Glenn!!!
