| - You get what you pay for. It's a cheap option for a lot of pictures. I used to be a big Portrait Innovations fan, and referred several of my friends there. However, over time they have adapted a SELL, SELL, SELL mentality. This last visit, I asked for one family portrait, yet the photographer told me the "rule" is that they take four backgrounds of each group. There were several other pictures i wanted to skip or do differently, but I was told I needed to stick to their routine. It took way longer than advertized, and I was late to a meeting. When I suggested we skip the calendar, I was told I have to listen to the entire calendar plug, so I sat and waited for the clerk to assemble pictures of my daughter crying or with eyes closed (remember, you have to do ALL the prescribed photos) into a calendar, and then watch the slide show-like production of the whole thing. Once again, when it came to narrowing down the pictures, I had to listen to the whole pitch, including what I would "lose" if I didn't buy them all. They show you the pictures three at a time. Again, sometimes all three shots would have eyes closed, etc., yet I was told I HAD to chose one to keep in the group, until we went to the second round. I basically felt like a hostage for an hour and a half. What happened to doing what the customer wants? I didn't want anything extra; I wanted LESS of their services!
At any rate, if you want some cute, cheap pictures of your kids, it's fine. If you want anything quality, go with someone else.
