| - Researching the popular items on the menu beforehand, I decided to try the Lobster Mac n Cheese, Gold Standard, and A-Chocolypse Now.
- Lobster Mac & Cheese
I personally quite liked this dish, and it was a fairly decent sized appetizer, especially when shared with 2 people. I think the breading was subtle but added the texture that the dish needed. Perhaps, the cheese could've been even cheesier, as the pasta seemed to overpower it a bit.
- Gold Standard
The aged beef was easily cut with my knife. That's how I usually determine whether they cook medium rare the way I like it. However, the bun was a bit tough to slice through, and that's what ultimately made my meal messy. I do believe that the size of the aged beef was overwhelming in comparison to the condiments. For example, the cheese barely covered the bread.
- A-Chocolypse Now
I have an extreme obsession with chocolate and I can tell you right now that this drink was soooo good. I loved the addition of the little brownie. The server recommended that we try the shakes alcohol free, as it doesn't really do anything to change the drink's taste rather than serve as a novelty experience. My only problem with the drink was that it was so sweet, I got sick of it midway. My partner also got tired of his drink halfway so it was a waste of money. Consider sharing it with somebody.
Food alone, I would rate this burger joint in comparison to other burger places at a solid 4.
Service added, it means more towards 4 1/2 due to the fact that our waiter helped us with all our choices on the menu from the moment we sat down. We appreciated his honest, personal opinions about each item we thought about ordering. Another waiter also took our pictures for us, and man... He definitely took it facing my good angle.
This place is definitely something worth trying again. A solid burger joint!
