  • Living in the neighborhood of downtown Phoenix, the turf is one of a couple staples. I've seen this place go through a lot of changes over the past couple years, and overall I think its for the better. When I first started coming to Turf, a lot of the "regulars" seemed pretty sketchy. The owners have turned things around and made the overall feel a touch classier. I never feel as if I'm going to be hit up for change walking through the restaurant anymore and last year I probably never would have left my drink at the bar to step away for the restroom. There are always two sides of a coin though, and with the new changes came an increase in the food prices and a bottle juggling frat boy behind the bar that made it difficult to relax and enjoy the acoustic guitar music in the background. However, the Turf Sliders were filling, the drinks are still stiff, and its just around the corner so I'm a happy camper.
