Dr. Abrams is simply a great doc, with a great bedside manner and really takes the time to chat with his patients. Went in last week for dry eye. Did all my research about my condition before making an appointment - it's known as MGD and found that Dr. Abrams does the Lipiflow. Went in for a consult. While waiting in the waiting room, I could see when each patient was being called into their exam rooms and how long Doc actually spent with each. He goes room to room and I timed him - ha ha...he spends at least 15 minutes with a patient, which I find fantastic in this hustle/bustle world. Plenty of time to address your issues and take care of you. Be prepared to be at this office for about an hour, depending on your condition because he is very thorough and so are the techs/assistants that take care of you. Who would want any doc to rush with your eyes? Not me! My consult went great. He waits for you to ask any questions. He gives you his educated recommendations and you decide what you want to do as treatment. I chose to do the Lipiflow. It's out of pocket. It's $1,000. Had it done today. Pretty cool treatment. You have to be okay with things in your eyes and the doc touching them - you are forewarned. Treatment was about 12 minutes long. No pain. No issues. You can drive home when its over. You must follow the aftercare and be prepared to do the work to help with your MGD. It's not going to be a miracle cure and you need to participate in your own care. 5 stars for Dr. Abrams. Great guy. 5 stars to all the girls at the front desk. Friendly and professional. And 5 stars for the techs/assistants that do all the pre-work in the back. Very happy with this office. Need more practices like this one.
