  • I live less than a 5 minute walk from this location, so I knew I would have to try it out eventually. I love the workout, the location, and the instructors. Flyght has free parking everywhere (a large lot in front), so you never have to worry about finding a spot. The class is a calmer and more soothing cycling workout that I've seen in Madison. The studio is small but very organized and clean. The instructors are energetic and competent, and they are always willing to help newcomers (so I recommend coming in a little earlier for your first time because they give you very useful tips and insight about the classes). The workout itself is challenging but not impossible. I find myself not struggling during the class but I feel like I've had a good workout by the end. The room is always a comfortable cool temperature (bordering on cold, but very nice during the workout), so I tend to bring a sweater. There is always at least one upper body song (sometimes two) that uses 1, 2, and 3 pound weights. There are more than enough weights for every bike, so you won't find yourself fighting for the weight that you want. The shower and bathroom facilities are always kept very clean, and they offer towels so you do not have to bring your own. I have been coming in Thursday mornings for the past few months to ride with Anna. My friend and I enjoy her bubbly personality and her ability to be focused and energetic at 6 in the morning. I always feel great after cycling with her. My personal favorite of Anna's workouts is her high torque and strength-focused workouts. I have become a huge fan of Flyght. I will admit, I do go to cyc just as often as Flyght, but I find Flyght more conveniently located, less hectic, and more personable. Flyght has its pros and cons, as do all spin/cycling studios, but I have enjoyed every class I have taken here.
