I grudgingly went here with my +1 and his (we'll say "eccentric") family. It's a cute place, very friendly. A bit empty.
We all ordered something different, split--it comes on a giant shared platter--what I could decipher, ate all the Sambusa, even had my doro tibs (chicken of some sort) eaten on the injera/flatbread. I felt a little adventurous, to be honest. Unfortunately, it was just okay though.
I have never had Ethiopian food before so it is really possible that I just don't REALLY enjoy the cuisine in the same way I would love something more common like Thai or Indian. I am also very particular. It's not you, it's me.
I will say I did not dislike anything. The booze selection was decent, and the plum wine I ordered was awesome. The staff was great and really helped our little American brains understand what we wanted. I probably won't go back on my own whim, which I hate since it is a block from home. But I'm glad it's there. Even if I am not crazy about it, it does add something to the area.
