| - The only reason this establishment/location gets 1 star is because my sister's threader was good and nice to her.
We had to go the morning of my sister's wedding as a last minute errand, and it was the closest my sister found/remembered. No appointment with anyone specific.
I don't know the name of the threader my sister had, but she looked Indian with long hair, braided. My sister said she was gentle and was very nice/considerate.
However, when I was directed to another threader that was still on her cell with headphones (doh doh looked unprofessional), she kept making eye contact with me, but didn't actually acknowledge me looking at her for confirmation. Maybe she should've taken her headphones off, right? Anyway... Staying in her seat was a mistake. I think her name was Elia (sp.) or whatever.
She started off by immediately threading. From experiencing how it should be done correctly at another establishment, threaders should apply powder to decrease amount of irritation, which was NOT done here. Problem number one right there.
As she was threading, she pushed down on my eyeball on the opposite side of what she was threading around. The hell...? You can't tell your client is sensitively tearing up? By the way, my eyes are a sensitive part of my body - biggest reason is the eye surgery I had.
If I literally slap your hand away, and tell you to pause, that should be a sign to be more gentle, not continue being rough. This threader actually nicked my upper eyelid, and then said that it's 'cause I didn't hold my eye shut right. No, you're hella incompetent and inconsiderate.
I'm honestly pissed and sour about the whole experience. Had I not wanted to make sure my sister wouldn't try settling the bill, you would not have received a tip ahead of providing the service. Poor choice on my part.
If anyone experiences any discomfort, don't make my mistake of "dealing with it." Just tell them to stop and ask for someone else to service you.
