We stopped in at Jaleo for dinner one evening. Since we were not that hungry, we decided to order some Tapas. We had the following:
Jamon Iberico - cured ham from Spain was absolutely delicious that we ordered a second round.
Manchego Cheese - four tiny slices that were pretty good. The cheese was firm yet had a buttery taste.
Gambas Ajillo - tender shrimp cooked in spicy tomato and garlic sauce. The sauce was delectable; the shrimp could have been bigger.
Patatas Bravas - fried potatoes that came on a plate layered with spicy tomato sauce and each piece topped with aioli. This dish was hit as well and filling.
We also had the Red Wine Sangria which was both sweet and had a bit of a kick from the wine. It was perfect. For a moment, we felt as if we were back in Barcelona.
Our server was great. She checked on us periodically without being intrusive.
Overall the food was great and service wonderful. The ambiance is more casual than some of the other fine dining establishments in the restaurant row. It is very pricy and fortunately we did enjoy the Tapas. We would come back to try their Paella.
