The food was good, the service was poor.
I had miso soup, great flavor just excessive green onions. The side salad had tasty dressing, however the lettuce could have been more fresh. We had the veggie tempura, it was all very greasy. The veggies were well cooked and the dipping sauce was tasty. The caterpillar roll was beautifully made, the seaweed element was a little chewy. I didn't have a cocktail, my friends said they enjoyed theirs.
The service was slow. We asked for things but the server was in such a hurry he didn't hear. It makes no sense to get one person's order and not ask the entire table if anyone needs anything else. It took an exceptional amount of time for my friends to get their cocktails. And it took too long to get the check, even after we asked a hostess walking by if we could get it quickly since we were headed to a movie. The server was a very friendly person.
I would go back for the food and because it's close to the theater. If I sat in dining again I would lower my expectations of prompt service.
