  • So like my review on H&M, I was in the Yorkville area today for the first time (consciously) since I got this Yelp account, so I made a note of it to review all the stores I went to today. I often go to this location because it is close to where I work and live. I like the selection here, because I find that if often has the better and trendier clothes as compared to Eaton Centre or even Queen Street. I haven't been to Yorkdale in a while, but they're comparable, although the Aritzia on Bloor is smaller. Aritzia really suits my style, but I find them quite pricey especially for the coats and jeans. So that's kind of where I stand. I am often pleased with their service. Usually they greet me when I walk in, and I prefer that to not. As well, when I am browsing and the salespeople see me holding a couple of pieces, they will take the clothes and start a dressing room, so I don't have to carry them around. They tend to be attentive, and sometimes more than one person will attend to you. They also don't work on commission, so they're not pushy. But when you ask them for their opinion, I find most of them will pull items off the shelves for you to help you create an outfit or give you fashion advice. Today I was trying on a red top. It was nice and I wanted to see about a different size. One of the salespeople looked for me, and they couldn't find it, so she gave me the smaller size in a different colour while she looked for it in a different store. The other store didn't have it, so ultimately I ordered it. I like that they take the initiative to consider all the options. The sales staff is generally friendly, and I've bought many items from this location. Overall, the quality of the clothes is high, but also often dry clean only. Keep that in mind if you hate that or handwashing. Aritzia clothes are definitely better than H&M or Forever 21, although some have claimed they are similar. Not at all. I don't give Aritzia 5 stars because some basic pieces tend to be pricey as well, and some items get repetitive throughout the seasons. But in general, I really like this brand and this particular location.
