| - Oh. My. God. Bless this owner's heart for opening an authentic Louisiana restaurant in Vegas!!! I was born and raised in Baton Rouge, graduated from LSU, married a good ole South Louisiana boy and we moved out here to find.....food can be pretty bland outside of South LA. People think Cajun = SPICY HOT, and any Cajun worth their salt will tell you we just like our food seasoned well. Well, Streetcar Poboys delivered, and then some. The poboys were outstanding, the boudin was out of this world, the beignets were pretty impressive (not Cafe du Monde, but come on, homemade beignets?! In Vegas?! They tasted excellent to me!), and the bread pudding......?!?!? As my husband said, "slap ya mama good." The food may be a bit pricey, but not when you consider they ship it all in fresh from Louisiana. I'll pay extra for damn good food and this was OUTSTANDING. For those talking about the atmosphere, what were you expecting, Galatoire's? It's a nice family-owned, family-run restaurant, and a lot like most of the best hole-in-the-wall Mom and Pop shops you'd find in New Orleans, Metairie, Baton Rouge, etc.
To sum it up, we will be back. Frequently. If you want amazing, fresh, down home flavorful cooking, you have to try this place.
