They have new menu items since the last time I was there. I'm very happy to see a roast beef and mushroom croissant because savoury items were lacking. The mushroom and roast beef filling was delicious!
We also had the Pearl which is a crackle-top choux pastry with a delectable mango and cream filling. You first admire its presentation then its taste!
Next were the mini-madeleines fresh out of the oven! I spied them when they were still in the oven and wanted to buy them when they were ready but they gave each table a complimentary dozen :) These were plain vanilla madeleines, I think. Didn't detect any other flavour but they were good.
Their newest item is cannelés, little cakes with a caramelized exterior and a chewy, custardy interior. They were baked in copper moulds, #respect! I enjoyed these more than those I had in Maman, which I find were too chewy.
Drinks wise, their Flat Whites could be improved as there's too much foam on the milk, more like a latte.
Duo - the best place north of the 401 for French pastries? I think so!
