So this is my 3rd visit to have my 2016 GX 460 serviced for the same exact problem. Its a metal-to-metal type scraping squeak when I go over bumps, especially noticeable while turning. The 1st visit, I received a call from the service department stating that they couldn't replicate the noise so nothing could be done. So I pick up my car & head home and of course as I'm pulling into my driveway I hear that sound again. I call Lexus and the service tech, Dave tells me to record the sound and he would have his service technicians/mechanics listen to it. I did exactly that, recorded a few videos w/ the noise and sent it to him. I don't hear back from him for over a week & eventually get in touch w/ him and make another appointment. My 2nd visit in, the service person rides w/ my husband to hear the sound. He listens to it and says the rubber pieces underneath the hood needs to be lubricated w/ some oil due to the dry climate out in Vegas. WTF??? On a 60K car, the hood scrapes & needs to be lubricated? I am not a car person so I just go w/ it and am just very thankful that he was able to solve the problem....so I thought. A couple weeks later that freaking sound is back!!!!! So f***** annoying. So here we are for our 3rd visit for the same exact problem and Lexus is unwilling to make the proper fix. Mike from the service department said all he could do at this time was add more lubrication & make some hood adjustments and just wait to see if that metal scraping sound comes back, just as it did before, before anything else could be done. I feel Lexus on both occasions have done a crappy temporary fix and is unwilling to provide a permanent fix. $60,000 spent at Lexus and I received a defective vehicle and Lexus of Henderson Service Department does not care in the least.
