| - The staff is very nice at this location. There are 3 small table tops for 2 and a counter with 4 stools. Weekends are pretty busy.
I recommend the mini lemon meringue tart (perfect ratio of buttery soft crust to delightlfully tart lemon filling to sweet, browned meringue) which I find to be tastier and better value than the full size Euro tart version.
If you like very tart lemon desserts, try the lemon bar (too tart for my liking, but my companion inhaled it!) The Kahlua toffee and cheesecake brownie are my favourite bars; they also have a variety of yummy brownies that balance both sweetness and richness very well (ex. iced = no nuts, with walnuts, German = with coconut.)
If I had to pick a favourite cake, it would be the raspberry charlotte, a wonderful combination of light cake with tart raspberries and gently sweetened cream. The cheesecakes are also very good, especially if you like a denser and richer version (vs. the unbaked creamy kind.) I have enjoyed *many* slices of the lemon blueberry cheesecake, but the (seasonal) Bailey's one was particularly memorable! =)
Don't miss out on the 4 fruit pie --- amazing!
This location is closed on Mondays and they do not sell individual scones, but you can order a batch in advance.
