This was my first time at 5church, but we wanted a nice meal while some co-workers were visiting in town. I have heard great things, but it was still different than expected.
The atmosphere is very upscale, romantic and intimate, so it was a little weird to be with a large group of co-workers while couples had romantic dinners next to us, but that's not the restaurants fault.
The menu is a little sparse and many of the options were the same types of meat. There was only one chicken dish and one vegetable dish. I typically stay away from red meat so I had to settle on one of the two. I went with the chicken. OH MAN. So to be honest, I didn't eat a ton of the chicken because I got so side-tracked by the deliciousness of the rice that accompanied it. I have no idea what it was, but it was different and better than anything I had ever tasted.
I will also say, one coworker ordered a side of Brussel sprouts and another coworker attempted to order another one and the waitress told us that it was enough for the whole table. We had 6 people and it definitely was not. When the first order came out we put in an order for a second. The two orders were prepared entirely different. The first just roasted and seasoned and the second were roasted with a sweet glaze. Don't know what happened there.
