My friends and I whom are all from Scottsdale and Paradise Valley decided to check out this restaurant / bar this past Sunday as we had heard good things about it. We generally spend Sundays bouncing around to different places in oldtown trying different food and drink. As we entered we were greeted with a very friendly hello and welcome to Evo and we indicated we were simply going to the bar. It is a very nice atmosphere and somewhat different from most of what Scottsdale has to offer. Not that Scottsdale doesn't have many very nice and interesting places this just seem to have a different atmosphere. We were there to take advantage of the happy hour pricing, enjoy a drink and to check the place out so we moved up to the bar. The individual behind the bar looked to be a very happy individual however to get their attention as we were the only four people sitting at the bar one would think it shouldn't take too much effort, but it did. They were busy taking inventory and that seemed to be more important than greeting us and engaging us in general banter and conversation again since we were the only four there. I must say as a disclaimer I am not certain what the bar puts more priority on, the customers or the inventory again as it was our first time there. When I paid my tab it did not seem as though we were given the happy hour pricing but I didn't mind so much as it was a good and different drink. I will perhaps check this place out again as I never make my final opinion on first experience however if 2nd time going is like the first I won't return. I cannot and will not speak for the other members in my party this is simply my opinion. P.S. the food menu looked good.
