  • We brought our dog here for the first time because she was having an issue with her left eye. They couldn't figure out exactly what might've caused the issue. We were advised to take her to an eye specialist but that it will be very costly. We were told that the best thing to do was to remove the eye. If we took her to the eye specialist they would say the same thing but would cost a whole lot more. They really wanted to make this money. The procedure was extremely expensive. When we picked up our dog after the surgery, everybody was being very polite and friendly (fake). Oh wait, but I had to pay before I can see my dog after the surgery. We took her back for a follow up and the Dr. suggested a stain test on the right eye and prescribed a lubricant. (More money) Well the very next day my dog's eye was very blurry. I called the Dr and told her about the eye being blurry now. I asked her if the stain might have damaged the eye? She said "no that would never happen". I asked her how is it that it got very blurry over night? Her eye was not like that... She asked that we bring the dog so she can take a look at it. This time she did a pressure test and prescribed eye drops. (More money) After the pressure test and eye drops her eye became worse. Took her back the next day for another follow up. (More money) She prescribed stronger eye drops, the eye got even worse. Dr. Said she wasn't sure what was going on, she didn't have the right tools to see the eye or diagnose our dog. So the best thing to do was to take her to the eye specialist. So we did, just so that specialist can charge us a whole lot of money for nothing. All the eye specialist said was that the eye will probably have to be removed, couldn't explain how it all happened over night. She prescribed eye drops, an ointment and was sent home. Referred my dog back to her regular Dr. Now our dog was on pain pills and 4 different meds and another bad eye. I called the Dr. office to let her know what happened after seeing the eye specialist. She was not available, none of the Dr's were available. I left a message with the receptionist to have any Dr. call me back, well nobody returned my call. My husband called the eye specialist, she was not available. Left a message, never called back either. Easy money! We kept putting the drops and the eye got really bad. Had to take her to a different clinic, our poor dog had to get her right eye removed too. (More money but nothing compared to what Animal Medical Center of Chandler charged me) I would not recommend this clinic at all after they damaged my dogs right eye and didn't have an explanation for it. They should refund us what we paid them over, about $1500 not including the eye specialist fees!
