If you want an authentic Irish pub experience then this is the place for you! We came for lunch which I was kinda bummed, I wish we had came for dinner because for dinner they do live music! We saw the little stage where the performers set up. None the less we enjoyed ourselves. You walk in and are immediately transported to Ireland. I loved the layout of it! I believe I counted 3 different bars! Don't forget to go upstairs!
The food was very authentic. We ordered the potato cakes to start, which I don't know how you could go wrong it's like the best food ever, and they were delicious. A little small but it was an appetizer. It had a balsamic drizzle on it along with the sour cream, it was very interesting but delicious. It also was on top of some green lettuce, which I really didn't see the point in that much, I just didn't eat it. They were cooked perfectly.
For my entree I had the Shepard's pie. It was definitely authentic. There was no cheese and it was lamb instead of ground beef. Though I prefer our Americanized version better, what they deliver is clearly what is stated on the menu so I'm not mad about it. I still ate it all. My brother had the Guinness burger and he practically devoured it in 3 minutes. My husband had some turkey sandwich with cheese and bacon and apples. He liked it. I tried a bite (for the sake of my yelp review of course) and it was pretty good as far as a turkey sandwich goes. The bread was toasted nicely and buttery. They each had sweet potatoes fries as their side which were also very good.
All in all we were all satisfied. I loved the decor of the place. And a shoutout to our waiter (Tom) who was super sweet and attentive. Great service!!
