| - I took my fiance here to try on the dress she saw online. After selecting it she asked if she could add a black sache to it instead of the white. We were told that the dress would be ordered without the white sache and we could order a black sache and pay to reapply it. We agreed and ordered the black sache. The sache came in early and we were called to come pick it up. When the dress arrived, it had the white sache sewn in. We informed the sales girl this was incorrect and she blew us off saying "this is how the dress comes." When we persisted to be taken care of about this, we were told that the original sales girl did not put this in her notes so there was nothing that could be done. Then we were told that we could just pay $30 and they would fix it. We were told to go home and grab the sache and come back. I asked why they wouldn't have kept the sache since this alteration needed to be done and the same girl said " we don't have room to hold items"...for a sache?! Again, if there were notes about our order, we wouldn't have had to make an hour and a half round trip for this. About the $30 alteration..I told the girl I would pay to apply the new sache as agreed but not for the removal of the existing one. She said "we won't charge you" But failed to put that in her notes until I insisted. Later that day I called another David's Bridal to get a quote on removal/reapplying a new sache vs just adding one. $30 for both and $15 to just apply one. When I returned and called them out on this, they wanted to know who I spoke with and what time. Really? I provided them the number and exact time of my call for their verification. They actually didn't believe me. How humiliating is that? During the phone call, the manager got involved and tried to tell me that I had been comped already. Then she later changed her answer to that it was an all inclusive alteration. Again a lie. After verifying my phone call to the other David's location, I was told that quote given for $15 was merely to TIE a sache on, not sew it. I was very clear in my words, another dissatisfying brush off. At that point she dumped on the whole situation on her tailor who was very honest, kind ........and didn't deserve the situation. The tailor did tell me that there are 2 separate charges that lead to.. you guessed it $30. So the tailor had to compensate us by giving us a garment bag and a free steaming of the dress. Still had to pay $30 instead of $15. I only agreed because I sensed the stress of my bride to be. This was supposed to be an exciting, fun experience and the TAILOR was the only person that wanted to make sure we were taken care of. The whole situation could have been avoided by the original girl putting important notes in her ticket and by someone taking better care of us after the dress came in different than we were told. I'd caution anyone to trust this place with such a special purchase. Only giving 2 stars because of the price of the dress and the wonderfully empathetic treatment of the tailor, Tam who basically did the managers job when the manager bailed on the situation.
