We came here as a secondary option and very glad we did. At first looking at the menu was a bit intimidating since I am not a French speaker but our waiter gladly presented us with an English version of the menu.
Eats:
Appetizer - Some sort of mushroom with roasted potatoes and a poached egg on a bed of lettuce. Great start of the meal. The portion was perfect for sharing and all the mixed favors does good on a pallet.
Entree - Baked quail with Quail eggs and wild rice.....delicious. The quail was perfectly cooked, quail egg was a good touch and the wild rice was just cooked al dente
Dessert - Floating island which is a caramel shell on caramel sauce with a side of honey roasted almonds.....this was good but I would try something else next time. Presentation is nice but nothing special with the dessert.
Likes:
- service was excellent. The staff is very friendly and for the non French speakers they are willing to translate anything you have in question.
- side of sour pickles was a good touch
- big wine menu with about 4 different types of beer to try
Dislikes:
- this is being picky but the house bread would be better warm
Overall I am glad we came here. It was nice they close at 12am for your late night option.
