  • If the people we met here weren't stellar, I'd have given one star. But let's start at the beginning. My friend with chronic pain from an old injury has a new, different and worse pain. Due to her symptoms, once she checked in (which took too long because people in distress aren't thinking so hot, and need better signage pointing the way to the check-in desk... and their friends need it too, because I had to hunt for it), they skipped over the people ahead of us and took her back sooner. That was helpful. The tech, the nurse, the student doctor were all great and didn't take it personally when she got tiffy. I appreciate their professionalism; they get that nice people can be angry and impatient when they hurt. The doc said she needed a CT scan. She had just had one the week before, but he wanted to give her another one, in the same place. I asked about an MRI. CT scans give you hundreds of times of the radiation of an x-ray, so why not give her an MRI? No radiation at all! You know, radiation? That causes cancer? And now, why I would give one star: the MRI is closed at night (when we visited), and it's hard to get in even in the day. If the ER is open, why isn't the MRI open? It's like having the doors open but the lights off, so the medical team has to work in the dark. What good is that? Banner Del E. Webb needs to work on its policies so its physicians can have all the tools they need, whatever time they need them. Please. We never know when we might need a fully equipped ER.
