My first visit here didn't go as smoothly as I thought it should. The front desk staff was cold, rude and uninviting. The workings of the clinic were never explained to me, so I didn't know how the system worked. A very cheery student came out to get me and was upbeat and welcoming. I thought, great!! This is going to be a good experience.
She showed me to a room and another student came in. OK, I get two. Great!
The second student that came in was professional and had a really good bedside manner.
As he was asking questions for background information, the first student started yawning and looking at her watch. She didn't look me in the eye and showed absolutely NO interest in my health at all!
The doctor didn't come in and when the students went out to talk to her they were gone 30-45 minutes. My intake took over three hours!! NOBODY told me it would take anywhere near this long! I got low blood sugar and was very uncomfortable!
The doctor finally came in and entered the room with a sharp attitude. Asking me questions with an sharp, rude tone of voice. When I couldn't remember details from years ago (part of my health issues), she became frustrated with me. Not the experience I had hoped for!!
She wanted me to have a blood panel done for one set of information and gave me medicine she didn't explain for another issue. I do have multiple problems, but which way are we going???
I don't think I'm being unfair in this review, because I expected the doctors to have a little more of a caring attitude. The fourth-year student had more of a caring attitude than the doctor.
I will go in for the blood panel and go in for my follow-up appt. Hopefully I will have a better visit and will be able to post a better review.
If you're thinking of coming here, be sure and ask A LOT of questions when you make an appointment and pack a lunch because you'll be there a while.
