  • This place has friendly, if not slightly incompetent, service, and Dos XX amber on draft. That's it for the compliments. Now for the real low down: we were told that they just changed their menu , but I can't see how they could have improved things given how absolutely awful the food was. For starters, I've never seen a buffalo wing I didn't want to eat... until now. We ordered 6 'hot' and 6 'BBQ'... and we couldn't tell the difference between the two! They were neither hot or nor BBQ, and were universally cold and fatty. The meat on my bacon cheese burger was nice, as was the bacon, but was it was all rather small - presented on a four inch white flour burger bun with a few shreds of lettuce. Condiments consisted of yellow mustard and this terrible "Fancy Grade" ketchup (I'll admit to being a Heinz Ketchup snob). I passed on the fries for my side, opting for the black bean and corn salad (recipe: take one can of corn and one can of black beans... and mix them up). My wife ordered the nachos which appeared to be microwaved shredded cheese on tortilla chips with a glop of pulled pork on top. She asked "where's the salsa that was supposed to come with it?" and was told "he got the last of it" while nodding at me. Yummy... I got the bottom of the container. I gladly handed it over to my wife and ordered the jicama slaw instead. Turns out they ran out of jicama. Fortunately, they had a head of cabbage and a dollop of mayo available, so... shred, mix, serve... and apologize again. After 30 minutes, the waitress noticed that my wife had barely picked at the nachos, so offered to replace it with a pizza. Good save, but by the time it came we had to go... so into a plastic clam shell it went. On a side note, we were attracted by the Restaurant.com title indicating that they were "an organic pub". Curious given that nothing on the menu seemed to allude to local or organic. When I asked about it, we were told that they buy all of their vegetables across the street at Sprouts. That's it?? I would have been happier with a can of Campbell's soup. I predict that this space will be up for lease before Christmas.
