On a Sunday morning, things got rolling slowly here... took a while to get basic attention, water, staff seemed frantic and recovering from a Saturday night perhaps.
No egg substitutes here... "we stick strictly to the menu" we were told, so if it says poached and you want scrambled, or egg-whites, too damn bad.
Had the crispy spinach and portobello which was good, then learned that the spinach is deep-fried which I wish I'd known before I ordered.
Not kid-friendly so you'll get the staff fish-eye if you've got little ones along.
Overall the food seemed over-priced and the quaint atmosphere only goes so far. Hop over to Marigold's down the block for the real deal.
