So beyond sad that I have to write this review. I have been coming here off an on for a year... And today was my first bad expeirence but after reading some of the other reviews I don't think my expeirence is off par. I sadly won't be attending this establishment any more. It ties directly in with service and possibly the cooks... Normally its quite busy at lunch however I showed up at 11:15am so I think I beat the rush because I was able to sit down immediately. I asked the waitress how much just a side of one little pancake in addition to my meal would be and she said $3. I know the are a tad overpriced but for the healthier food on the menu I would pay that little bump in cost... not so much for little pancake. I ordered the special which was Eggs Benedict and asked that my eggs were cooked overhard. As I'm waiting for my food I realize that my water wasn't a fresh water (strange) it possibly was sitting out for awhile because it had 3 half melted ice cubes at the top (strange). So I asked for a fresh water which I felt like I was a bothersome. I received my food and took a big bite out of my eggs benedict only to realize that I was eatting a raw egg. I looked down and saw the dizzle of the yolk running down my food. Since my server didn't check on me after the fact, I motioned the first server I saw and told her I ordered it overhard and showed her the egg yolk. She looked a little dumbfounded and took my meal away. Returned shortly after with a new plate... or so I thought. Seeings how this was the special for the day I can only imagine that they had a big o pot of water in the back harvesting all these poached eggs. Well what they did with my eggs was throw the half eaten and the other poked egged into the pot because I received the same eggs I parted with earlier. I was so beyond hungry I just ate it. Luckily I have no dieases or anything that the next eggs benedict customer would be concerned with but still I'm a stranger... with my food all up on their food. I don't know doesn't sound appealing and makes me think what else do they do back there?! In addition, while eating my food, I ran out of water. No refill. Nobody came to check on me. No service. I didn't even get a bill. I had to walk up to the front to pay. I did note that the owner who is usually there wasn't there this time. Not sure if that had anything to do with it this day. I just don't feel I was treated like a customer. Text my husband on the way out saying... well looks like I won't be back to matts big breakfast again... Overpriced food plus bad service... I rather go elsewhere.
