| - Oh man, where to even begin...Tonight was my 2nd visit here and it was somehow even more disappointing than the 1st time. The only reason I went in tonight is because my 1st experience was challenging enough that an employee gave me a card with a "free ice cream" for my next visit. Our first visit was about a month or so ago. I came in because they feature a vegan option for ice cream and a vegan cold plate. I'm not overly concerned with mine being made on a separate area, but it's a nice touch. That is, however, when it's functioning. My first visit they couldn't get it to work, called someone on the phone who wasn't able to get it to work, so mine ended up being made on the non-vegan cold plate anyhow. After that had been decided, it was time to grab the vegan milk base. That wasn't already prepared and took about 10 mins in the back to do. The ice cream itself was delish and good quality for sure. It lasted overnight in the freezer and tasted just as good the next day. The price felt fair for the quantity as well. That being said, it took 45 mins for my ice cream to be done. FOURTY FIVE. There were a few people ahead of me, but the pace of this experience was painfully slow. A major deterrent to coming back. Upon leaving, after the machine was down, the milk base wasn't prepared and the immense wait was over, I was offered the "free ice cream" for next time. So tonight was next time. We finished dinner closeby and I mentioned stopping by to my husband. He instantly gave me an "ugh"...saying we didn't have that long before the baby needed to get to bed. Grabbing a neighborhood ice cream shouldn't elicit that reply. I told him that if it was longer than 10 mins, I'd walk out. I was confident it'd be different. Nope. It was worse. I walked in and there were about 8 people sitting down still waiting for their order. 2 employees were attempting to handle the orders and were clearly overwhelmed. I placed my order clinging to hope and asked the girl how long it would be, explaining that I'd gotten a free ice cream from the previous time. She said she suspected it to be an even longer wait as I had 8 orders ahead of me. So I left. She was very nice, very apologetic, and very stressed. What a shame. This place is practically walking distance and would have been our go-to spot, but like this, there's no chance. Super disappointing.
