I never visited the old location, but I love the way they have redone the old Mary Coyle's building on 7th Avenue and turned it into a great, upscale Mexican food restaurant. We visited with a group of seven people and had an excellent experience. Service was fast and attentive and the food was excellent.
Between us we tried everything from the carne machaca dinner to the shrimp enchiladas suizas, the enchilada combo plate, and the chimichangas. (As a side note, its funny that La Pinata also lays some claim to the chimichanga as I'd thought the debate was strictly between Macayo's in Phoenix and El Charro in Tucson who both claim to have invented the dish. La Pinata is careful not to claim to have invented the chimichanga, but they certainly play up their connection to it).
Everyone was very happy with the food they had and most of us went home with enough to eat again the next day for lunch.
Now that they are in my neighborhood I have no doubt that I will be returning!
